In 2002 Eddy Rossi conceived the idea of the Southern Highland Wine logo triangle from looking at a topographical map of the winery property in Sutton Forest, Southern Highlands, NSW Australia.
The short line is Oldbury road. The subtle curves are the Illawarra Highway and the long line reflects the property boundary with our neighbour’s cattle ranch.

SHW has grown from our first vintage in 2002 to now having a major sales presence in the Australian market as well as significant global expansion. With this increased sales presence has come more recognition for the developing appellation known as “The Southern Highlands”. Wine judges and media are now regularly reviewing our embryonic tiny spot in Australia and our reputation for cool climate wine styles is becoming noteworthy…fast!

We feel we have done our bit to help promote the area and also our wines by using the name Southern Highland Wines. Our customers are now asking us to re-focus our name so that it truly reflects only on the exciting work that we are doing ourselves.
Today’s new range of wines Triplepoint encapsulates the following important themes:
• The triangle is the home reference for our winery block
• The three peaks represent the altitude at which we grow our grapes• The word Triplepoint comes from a physics term where “the triple point is the intersection on a phase diagram where three phases coexist in equilibrium”
• In wine speak, balance is such a meaningful attribute that we extended the physics term “triple point” to our way of making wine; Everything in Balance
The Triple Point range currently consists of:
Shiraz Sangiovese
Moscato Sparkling
